"If you love music, you should really consider joining the Asian Canadian Talent Search. I joined ACTS last year and I loved every minute of it! Anh and Anna made the competition enjoyable for both the contestants and the audiences throughout the whole competition. "ACTS will always be one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences for me. Initially, I joined the competition in order to overcome my fear of singing in front of people, but I ended up getting so much more out of it. Since competing in ACTS, I've had the privilege of performing for notable Filipino artists Pilita Corrales and Josie De Leon, I've been a featured artist on 101.3FM and AM530 radio stations, I've competed in the Global Singing Idol competition, and I have represented Studio 75 Productions in promoting local Filipino talent. Currently I am one of the founding members of the Josie De Leon School of Performing Arts and I'm enjoying the experience tremendously. When I look back at everything I've accomplished over the past year since walking into that audition room, hands shaking uncontrollably, armed with nothing but 26 years of shower singing and an acute fear of urinating, vomiting and/or dying on stage, I just smile. I will always be grateful to ACTS for introducing me to new friends, igniting my passion for music, and opening up doors of opportunity that I wouldn't have had otherwise. Q: Since participating in the ACTS, tell us about your career in the music industry?
A: I joined ACTS in 2008, since then I've produced and engineered at Phase One Studios (they have recorded Black Eyed Peas, Andrea Bocelli, Rihanna, AR Rahman, and more). Signed a publishing agreement in Taiwan with Touch Music Publishing, had my songs placed on the live action Hayate the Combat Butler TV series, : the movie, Show Luo 羅志祥, and many more. I am currently writing for Jeff Chang 張信哲's upcoming album.

Q: Why is this competition important?
A: The competition is important simply because you get to meet like minded individuals. This competition isn't about getting famous like American Idol (though you just might!), this competition is about meeting other musicians and singers so you can start building a portfolio. When I joined this competition, I ended up working with many of my competitors, whether it was producing, recording, or just learning new things. That work later on helped me to grow as a musician and as a member of the music industry.
